SOUTH OF CANADA LEADERSHIP
Our southern cousins are so broke
Mishandled mortgages were the start
It seems the government was on crack coke
Better to put your savings in a shopping cart
An economy in the dumpster
Let’s go to war, and why not two
Turned into a two headed monster
Old Dubya didn’t think this through
Jets into skyscrapers, not one but two
World trade center reduced to rubble
Two thousand plus reduced to goo
This could only mean impending trouble
Saudi Arabian folks who learned to fly
An intelligence memo mostly ignored
The Arabs would do and die
A president who looked so bored
The attack was done and finished
The heavily armed folks wanted revenge
Out Dubya’s came a turd gilded and polished
Attack a country with little to defend
Like the Grinch he cooked up a lie
The country had nothing to do with 9/11
But we must invade and Saddam must die
We must send him to Arab heaven
And into Afghanistan the US did go
Into the cities, mountains and deserts
They must destroy the evil foe
Mindless adventures they did exert
Two wars at once; it started to sting
Wal-Mart was richer than the white house
The Chinese cash registers never ceased to ring
While the US citizens lost their spouse
This is what happens when and empire dies
Fat citizens and minority gangs
True citizens wear uniforms amidst the lies
Heroes with out many fangs
Their politicians dither and dather
Small men with too much power
In a trench they would cower
Never standing up to their hour
The USA is full of heroes and good folks
The country needs to remember the good old days
Change the politicians with their votes
In order to get out of this endless maze

POEM - The Search for the Truth
The Search for Truth
Through the sands of time
I’ve searched for the truth
Over the hills of stone and lime
Never a doubt of my mission’s worth
Day by day, week by week
Always on this never-ending quest
The sand will never leak
Futile thoughts I’ve never guessed
Met many who claimed their power
Men of wealth and much grandeur
Their sweet wine would become sour
Their wise words would turn to slander
Time after time they’ve let us down
Their promises would be so empty
Words of filth and heinous noun
Never utter a touch of sympathy
Is my mission doomed to fail?
Could be there be no “god” worthy of humanity?
No leader to salute, no Caesar to hail?
Is there no guidance through this insanity?
I had to escape, take a respite
To the wilderness I headed in due haste
Along a river next to hills of height
Peace and harmony at once at last
As I took in nature in its splendor
I began to ponder my life’s task
Full of memories of misadventure
No answers to the questions asked
Surely the animals have no belief
Of an imaginary friend on a cloud
Nothing is perfect, not even a leaf
But one look at a wolf and you know it’s proud
The wolf pack has no need of such bother
Their guidance comes from the Alpha male
And just as much from the mother
Raise a winner, they never fail
My quest is over, I can rest
The truth is within us all
Raise a family, do your best
Climb the ladder, don’t let them fall
Through the sands of time
I’ve searched for the truth
Over the hills of stone and lime
Never a doubt of my mission’s worth
Day by day, week by week
Always on this never-ending quest
The sand will never leak
Futile thoughts I’ve never guessed

POEM - The Eviling
THE EVILING
What makes humans evil?
Are there ape or monkey psychopaths?
Have we evolved into some devil?
What led us down the sordid path?
Is there any animal that just snaps?
And starts murdering the pack?
Why do our big brains have this lapse?
Is there something that we lack?
The wolf pack would never tolerate this
The deviant would put killed or banished
Their decision final, they don’t take the piss
No lawyers needed for the punished
But we have developed methods of killing
No need for strength to pull a trigger
The weakest link can become a villain
Shoot a baby or a father figure
A mad chimp could not go on a spree
Armed with a stick and bad attitude
He is just no match for a team of three
He was delicious; that crazy dude
But the advanced brain of man
Apparently bazillion years ahead of apes
This brain will hatch a plan
Full of murder, full of rapes
These plans eventually lead to action
Men full of hate, full of fear
Blow up a car, end a vacation
76 innocents in headlights dear
Can we follow the wolf pack?
Banish a killer, but to where?
Aside from Mars he will be back
Send him there, and then back to here
Prison is choice of society
3 meals a day and a warm bed
Capital punishment is almost history
But truth is they should be dead
The damaged heart can be mended
The broken bone splinted and healed
But maybe the psycho’s life ended
Surely his fate should be sealed
Medication is the only answer
No one wants a psycho’s slaughter
Chemical imbalance is their cancer
But we’ll never again hear their victim’s laughter
Put them to death; put them on drugs
The wolf solution can’t work in out society
Give them a chance; give them some hugs
Send them to me for some wolf hospitality.
