The Throne speech includes "A plan to the establishment of a national monument to the victims of communism and a national Holocaust memorial."
Well I don't know if I should even touch this subject.
I will say that I think the US Holocaust museum is a waste of taxpayer's money. In a hundred years the Holocaust will be grouped together with all of history's dark ages. The slaying of Native Americans comes to mind. How many Native camps were wiped out - man, woman and child? And just what happened to the Natives in Newfoundland?
Even this bible of yours states in Deuteronomy:
7:1 When the Lord your God brings you to the land that you are going to occupy and forces out many nations before you – Hittites,1 Girgashites,2 Amorites,3 Canaanites,4 Perizzites,5 Hivites,6 and Jebusites,7 seven8 nations more numerous and powerful than you –
7:2 and he9 delivers them over to you and you attack them, you must utterly annihilate10 them. Make no treaty11 with them and show them no mercy!
Now you probably know what I think about the bible and religion, but it seems that genocide has been practised for eternity. To everyone and by everyone, to the Jews and by the Jews (Palestinians,eg).
And as for victims of communism? Yes Stalin killed many of his own, but he couldn't be that bad as we allied with him. We should have allied with the Germans right after D-Day when the outcome was obvious, and drove the Red Hoardes back to their borders. Instead we kept up the fight and killed civilians for another year, and then killed off the German population with the Morgenthau's plan and others.
